This month, we served 52 people, including:
10 Single Individuals
12 Families
26 Children
Guests ranged in age from 3 weeks to 62 years old
There is much to celebrate this month at Talbot Interfaith Shelter, and we have YOU to thank!! We are so blessed by your support… You are truly a hero!
Our guests work closely with their case managers to put together a personalized plan that will help them move towards self-sufficiency. Two of our guests have made great progress in their plans this month! Laura is the primary caregiver for her adult daughter, who has developmental challenges. They have been living at Evelyn’s Place for several months. With help from their case manager, Laura has been working to procure financial assistance from Social Security to help her care for her daughter. This month, she was approved for assistance. This is a big step forward for Laura and her daughter on their journey to independence! Valery’s one-year-old will be starting school at Early Head Start on Monday, and she is starting class to get her GED today. We are so proud of her for making this commitment, and wish her the best of luck in her studies!
It takes a lot of small victories over time for our guests to achieve Success in the form of self-sufficiency. The S4 Program is a serious, long-term commitment, and we want to celebrate every milestone along the way. THANK YOU for providing our guests with this incredible opportunity to change their lives.
