Faith Partners

Our Faith Partners have been an catalytic force in Talbot Interfaith Shelter's founding, and are an integral part of our continued growth.

About Our Faith Partners

When our founder, Evelyn Sedlack, was looking for a way to help families and individuals in need, Talbot County’s faith community answered the call.  Talbot Interfaith Shelter was formed as a coalition of local congregations who came together towards the common goal of providing safe shelter for our neighbors.

As our program has grown and changed,  our faith partners have continued to provide food, supervision, and fellowship for our guests, as well as financial and other support.  We are truly blessed!

Can my place of worship become a partner?

We are always looking for new partners to help ensure that our operations run smoothly and our guests have everything they need to achieve Success!  With our expansion, we are looking for volunteer teams to help with our second shelter facility.  We hope you’ll reach out to learn more about how you can join “Team TIS”!
