You give our guests a home, restore their dignity, and provide the time, knowledge, resources, and tools they need to get back on their feet and stay there.

I support the shelter because I realized, but for the grace of God, it could be me who is in need of shelter, and who needs someone to look after my needs. So it gives me great joy... to support the shelter and its needs.

I can give back a little, but I always receive more than I give.

I love supporting TIS because it's about empowerment, not entitlement. It's a hand up, not a handout.

Everybody needs help... We're all made the same. It's good for us all to come together and make us all equal. It's wonderful just being a part of it.

Take Your RMD as a Charitable Distribution to TIS

If you are 73 or older with an IRA, you are required to take annual distributions, which are taxed as income. Taking your RMD as a Charitable Distribution may eliminate the need to pay income taxes on those funds. Talk to your Financial Advisor about whether this giving option makes sense for you.

Make a Gift of Appreciated Stock/Securities

When you sell appreciated securities, you may be required to pay Capital Gains Taxes. A gift of appreciated securities could help support our mission while potentially alleviating your tax burden.
