There is much to celebrate this month at Talbot Interfaith Shelter, and we have YOU to thank!!
Easton’s Promise and our apartments were abuzz Monday morning as we sent our school aged TIS Kids back to school! Special thanks to amazing TIS supporter Linda Prochaska for ensuring that all of our kids had the school supplies they needed to start the year off right. Linda has done this for several years in a row, and we are so very grateful!
We have had a bit of a baby boom at Easton’s Promise. The talented Bayside Quilters recently created beautiful baby quilts for our newest little guests. One of our moms happened to arrive home as the quilts were being delivered by Chris Dorset, Judy Gross, and Gail Benjamin, and she was incredibly touched by the thoughtful gift for her child. Thank you, Bayside Quilters!
Congratulations to three of our guests, who secured employment this month! This is a major step forward on the path to Success. Pictured here is Charles, who sat at the computer every day after arriving at Evelyn’s Place, scouring the internet for job opportunities. Last week, when he arrived home from being offered his new job at the canning plant, he exclaimed, “Answered prayers!” We are so happy for Charles, and all of the other guests who are well on their way to achieving lasting independence!
