We have a very special Team TIS Tuesday tribute this week, as we commemorate the retirement of our dear friend and Director of Operations, Fran Doran at the end of this month. This is a bittersweet moment for us, as Fran has been with TIS since our second season in operation (2010).
She is the architect of our S4 Program (Shelter, Stability, Support, Success). When we moved into Easton’s Promise at the end of 2014, and guests were able to stay with us longer, our team knew we needed to find ways to address the underlying issues that had led to homelessness, rather than simply offering a temporary place to stay. Fran began introducing case management and classes for our guests, and as we acquired more off-site apartments, she and Julie developed a transitional housing program to ease guests back into independence.
Hundreds of our neighbors have been guided along their on their journey to Success during Fran’s time at Talbot Interfaith Shelter. We could not be more grateful for everything she has done for TIS and for our community. Please help us send her well-wishes as she moves on to her next chapter.
Fran, we love you, and are so proud of you and all you have accomplished. We know this is not “Goodbye,” as you will forever be a part of Team TIS! Congratulations!
