S4 stands for: Shelter, Stability, Support, Success.  This is what we call the program we have developed to guide guests from homelessness to independence.

Once they are Sheltered, guests work with Operations Manager Fran Doran, to create a plan designed to help them to regain financial Stability.  She connects guests with the necessary service providers and supervises them during this process.

Once guests reach a certain level of financial security, as well as emotional, mental, and physical stability, they are invited to move into transitional housing (provided that there is an apartment available).  Rent is subsidized, and guests continue to receive rigorous case management (Support) for one to two years as they incrementally take over their expenses until they are fully self-sufficient (Success).

Even after guests have “graduated” from the S4 program, Ms. Doran continues to follow up with them and offer guidance.

On average, guests who complete the full S4 Program are with us between 2 and 4 years. We are proud to have created a program that gives families and individuals in need the time, knowledge, tools, and resources to build a brighter future for themselves!
