At Talbot Interfaith Shelter, we are continuously inspired by our incredible supporters who help us fulfill our mission of providing safe shelter and essential services to those experiencing homelessness in Maryland’s Mid Shore. Today, we want to shine a spotlight on two exceptional TIS Ambassadors and Promise Keepers a.k.a recurring donors: John and Patty Plaskon!
Recently, the Plaskons were the lucky winners of our Promise Keepers loyalty program for the month of August, earning a delightful bushel of Maryland blue crabs! They decided to share this bounty with family and friends during a crab feast that not only celebrated their good fortune but also served a higher purpose: raising awareness about homelessness in our community. During their feast, John and Patty took the opportunity to educate their guests about the mission of Talbot Interfaith Shelter. By sharing their insights, they transformed a fun gathering into a meaningful discussion about the importance of supporting those in need. We are immensely grateful for their efforts to spread the word about our work and to be shining examples as TIS Ambassadors!
A huge thank you to Rich from Heavyset Crabs in Kent Island, who helped us secure those freshly caught blue crabs for the Plaskons.
We are so grateful for supporters like the Plaskons, whose generosity and dedication help us create lasting change in our community. Thank you for being part of the TIS family!
