‘People care’ at Talbot homeless shelter

EASTON It’s a stepping stone for some, a second chance for others and a shelter from the winter cold for all who stay. The Talbot Interfaith Shelter may serve a different function for each of the local homeless who frequent the rotating overnight shelter, but all recognize the profoundly benevolent efforts of the organizers, congregations and volunteers who have given warmth, food and time this winter to those who need it most.

“People care,” said one guest who has been staying every night at the shelter since it opened for the season Dec. 13. “That’s very important to see and feel.”
