EASTON, Md. – The Talbot Interfaith Shelter in Easton is expanding after a permit for their new facility on Goldsborough Street was approved on Tuesday, November 17.

This new facility will cater to single men and women, while their current shelter will focus on serving families. They say this permit approval comes almost six years, after they opened their first shelter, in the historic downtown area.

The first location was met with opposition because some community members were concerned how a shelter would impact that area of the city.
However, they also everyone was much more welcoming this time around.
