Another VERY Merry TIS-Mas!
We want to thank everyone involved in creating another magical holiday season! Our guests woke up on Christmas morning to gifts under the tree. Those at our shelter facility enjoyed an amazing meal prepared by Director of Operations Fran Doran, and those in our apartments were able to prepare dinner for their families from the meal kits that were donated by wonderful supporters.
Everyone’s wish list was fulfilled, thanks to those who sent in targeted donations to purchase gifts, who participated in our Gift Tree promotion, and who “adopted” our guests. Special thanks to Fran and her helper elf for keeping everything organized, and making it all look effortless!
One of our favorite stories is of one of our young guests, who learned to ride a bike for the first time on Christmas Day with his brand new bike, thanks to his family’s gift donor! We also heard from the parents in the house how fun it was to share the holiday with other families, and to see all of the children’s eyes light up when they opened their gifts!
YOU made this happen, and we are blown away once again by the way this community comes together to support our guests!
