Celebrating a Superstar Volunteer
At Talbot Interfaith Shelter (TIS), our volunteers are the heart and soul of everything we do. This week’s Team TIS Tuesday is dedicated to one of our shining stars—Judy Gross. Judy has been a dedicated and reliable part of the TIS family since the moment she began volunteering, and in June 2024, we had the pleasure of honoring her at our annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon as one of our standout volunteers.
Judy’s Impact at TIS
“Judy is a super active volunteer; she has been faithful and reliable since the day she began volunteering,” says Laura Richeson, TIS’s Director of Development & Marketing. Judy is known amongst TIS staff to always be there to step in when needed, responding to requests for help with grace and dependability. “She’s amazing and always responds to requests for help,” adds Julie Lowe, Executive Director of TIS.
In Her Own Words
Why do you volunteer at TIS?
Judy: “Volunteering is a great way to support the community!”
What is your favorite part about volunteering with TIS?
Judy: “The best part of volunteering with this shelter is reading, hearing, and seeing what a huge difference TIS makes in the lives of so many.”
What are your hopes or goals for our community?
Judy: “In terms of what I hope for the future, TIS is so well run that I hope other towns copy the model in Easton.”
Thank you, Judy, for your unwavering dedication and compassion. Your efforts make a lasting impact on our families and inspire us all!
