Team TIS Tuesday: Meet Jim & Sheila Scott!

#TeamTISTuesday: Dedicated Volunteer Duo – The Scotts

This week, we’re celebrating two exceptional volunteers who have been pillars of support for Talbot Interfaith Shelter: Jim and Sheila Scott! Their steadfast dedication and kind spirits continue to leave an impact on our organization, and we are so grateful to have them on Team TIS.

Jim and Sheila are the definition of reliable, compassionate volunteers. Whether it’s preparing for our summer and holiday appeal campaigns, assisting with events, or lending a hand wherever needed, they are always ready to help with enthusiasm and a smile. Their behind-the-scenes work has been instrumental in ensuring the success of some of our most critical initiatives, which help us continue to serve families and individuals in need on the Mid-Shore. Laura Richeson, TIS’s Director of Development & Marketing, says it best:

“Jim and Sheila Scott have been the epitome of dedication and kindness, supporting Talbot Interfaith Shelter for over a decade. No matter the need, whenever we call on them, they show up with a smile and a willingness to help. Their unwavering commitment has made a lasting impact on our organization and the lives we serve on the Mid Shore.”

Jim and Sheila’s contributions go far beyond their tasks—they bring warmth, positivity, and a deep sense of care to everything they do. Whether it’s a big project or a small gesture, they consistently embody the heart of TIS’s mission: creating a welcoming and supportive community for all.

We’re incredibly fortunate to have Jim and Sheila as part of our TIS family. Thank you both for all the ways you make a difference!
