Today, we pause to remember and celebrate the life of our dear friend and House Supervisor, Keith Camp. Since joining Talbot Interfaith Shelter in 2014, Keith became a pillar of our community, especially known for his unwavering dedication and warmth at Easton’s Promise. On weekends, he truly “held down the fort,” ensuring a welcoming environment for everyone.
Julie Lowe, our Executive Director, beautifully captured Keith’s spirit, saying, “He was the staunchest supporter of our program, with a deep-rooted connection as both a participant and a leader. His family was TIS’s first success story.” Keith’s genuine kindness and love for others shone brightly; he welcomed everyone—guests, volunteers, and staff—with open arms and a warm smile. His reflections on gratitude were a guiding light, encouraging us all to appreciate the small blessings in life.
As we navigate this difficult time, we honor Keith by embodying his message of gratitude and support and rallying together to support his only son, Jason. As TIS supporter Gail McWilliams Shorter puts it, “Keith was a strong but kind man who was willing to help anyone. He had dealt with difficulties and overcome much. His son Jason was the light of his life. Thank you TIS for your help for this family. That help did come back to you tenfold.”
Keith, you are deeply missed, but your legacy of kindness will forever inspire us.
