Stephen Moved Into Transitional Housing!
You may recognize Stephen from the cover of our Annual Report, where he shared that he wished everyone in his shoes had the opportunity to come to TIS. Stephen has taken the opportunity you have given him very seriously. He has worked tirelessly, excelling at his job, participating in classes, and making big budgeting changes. This month, he moved into his own transitional apartment, taking the next step on the path to Success!
Two of the guests at Evelyn’s Place got jobs this month! Congratulations to Jackie, who started work at the Tidewater Inn and Glenn, who is the newest employee at Acme.
One of the mothers at Easton’s Promise secured childcare this week – a big step forward on her journey to self-sufficiency! Once her child is enrolled, she can look for employment and start saving!
We have partnered with the Neighborhood Service Center (NSC) to welcome a family of five into one of our transitional apartments. NSC will provide case management for the family, while TIS will provide other services and perform monthly inspections of the apartment.
