Dear Friends of TIS,
As we turn the page to a new fiscal year, I can’t help but reflect on how fortunate Talbot Interfaith Shelter is to be surrounded by such an incredibly caring community. Every year, I am reminded that the work we do isn’t possible because of one person or one organization—it happens because so many of you believe that everyone deserves a safe place to call home and a chance to build a better future.
This past year, when we needed our community most, you showed up. You gave generously, volunteered your time, donated needed items, attended our events, and shared our mission with others. Time and time again, you reminded us that Maryland’s Mid-Shore is a place where neighbors truly care for one another.
Because of your generosity, we were able to meet our funding goals and continue providing shelter, support, and hope to individuals and families working to overcome homelessness. That is something we can all be proud of.
As grateful as we are for what we’ve accomplished together, we also know our work is far from over. The need for our services continues to grow, and as we begin this new fiscal year, we’re looking ahead with optimism—but also with the understanding that we can’t do it without you.
One of the greatest gifts you can give is your continued support. Consistent giving, volunteering, and advocacy allow us to plan ahead, respond to unexpected needs, and ensure that Talbot Interfaith Shelter remains financially strong—not just this year, but for many years to come. Your ongoing commitment helps us stay ready to meet whatever challenges lie ahead while continuing to provide life-changing services to our neighbors.
On behalf of our Board of Directors, our staff, and every person whose life has been touched by Talbot Interfaith Shelter, thank you. We thank you for believing in this mission, for standing beside us, and for making hope possible every single day.
As we begin this new year together, I am counting on you to continue this journey with us. Together, we can ensure that every person who comes through our doors is met with compassion, dignity, and the opportunity for a fresh start.
With heartfelt gratitude,
